2016 Croatia Prestige Vacations On Sale

With a wide selection of stays costing around £200 less than this year and holidays to the Istria and Kvarner regions offering the best deals Prestige has cut its Croatia holiday prices for 2016, due to a strong rate of exchange.

Croatia offers great value once there too. A two course meal with wine can cost as little as £10 per person. With prices so keen 2016 is definitely a great year to visit and early bookers will secure the best deals.

Prestige’s bargain breaks include a week on B&B at the four star Park Plaza Histria Hotel in Pula in May for £499 per person flying from Gatwick on Norwegian with shared transfers, saving £258 on this year’s prices. Holidaymakers can also pick up a week in May or June at the five star Hotel Croatia in Cavtat on B&B from £535 per person with Norwegian flights from Gatwick to Dubrovnik and transfers, saving £258 on this year.

Another great deal is a week on B&B at boutique property Hotel Korsal on Korcula for selected dates May, June or September for just £629 per person, flying with Norwegian to Dubrovnik from Gatwick with transfers (including ferry crossing) – £257 cheaper than 2015. Also available is seven nights at the four star Hotel Amfora Grand Beach Resort & Spa on Hvar in July or August from £1028 per person on B&B, with Norwegian flights from Gatwick to Split and transfers (with ferry/catamaran crossing), saving £201 on 2015 prices. This hotel is packed full with amenities including: three restaurants, a gorgeous spa, roof top gym and private beach club.

Multi centre stays are made easier with the introduction of a seaplane service linking Pula to Mali-Losinj, Krk Island and Rab and Split to Hvar. The Pula to Split flight takes just one hour, rather than the six or seven hours by road.

Holidays lead in at just £284 per person for a week’s stay at the four star l Remisens Family Hotel Albatros in Cavtat including: return flights on Norwegian from London Gatwick to Dubrovnik with shared transfers and the services of an overseas Prestige Holidays representative.

The operator is offering more special interest breaks for 2016 with the launch of horse riding experiences in Istria including the chance to swim with horses. Also new is a family multi-activity week on the Cetina River, just 35 minutes from Split. The holiday features canoeing, mountain biking, kayaking, river rafting and trekking. Prices start from £899 per person with return flights from Gatwick to Split, airport transfers, half board accommodation and all activities.

The hotel Hotel Vrata Krke next to the glorious Krka National Park with its 17 stunning waterfalls, island monastery, museum and church has also been added for 2016 as part of Prestige’s expansion of its “Green Croatia” product.

New in Istria is the four-roomed Meneghetti Wine Hotel, a gated country estate with its own vineyard, olive groves and award winning Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This Relais & Chateaux property, located between Pula and Rovinj is perfect for those looking to get away from it all and will appeal to gourmets and wine buffs. As well as an a la carte restaurant with a great reputation it has indoor and outdoor pools.

Other additions in Istria are the three star Island Hotel Katarina on small Katarina island and the family run boutique style Hotel Makin in Novigrad.

Guests can walk around Katarina Island in just 45 minutes. This unique property, the only one on the island, is somewhat reminiscent of a Spanish parador and is set in a beautiful park and woodlands. The hotel’s free boat service operates to Rovinj all day, with the last sailing at 00.30, the journey takes just four minutes. Stays start from as little as £364 per person per week on BB with return flights from Gatwick to Pula on Norwegian and shared transfers.

Hotel Makin has just 14 rooms and features one of the best and most traditional restaurants in the area. This charming property is just 300 metres from long, pretty beaches and has a small pool. The hotel owner can arrange private wine tasting on an award-winning vineyard, under a five minute drive away.  Stays here start from £479 per person with flights from Gatwick on Norwegian, private transfers from Pula airport and BB accommodation.

Prestige has also introduced stays in Northern Dalmatia in resorts so far undiscovered by visitors from the UK – including Biograd na Moru and Vodice.

Crvena Luka Hotel & Resort near Biograd Na Moru opened this summer and is on a private estate with parkland and woods covering 18,000 square hectares that reach down to three sandy beaches.  The hotel rooms are four star and the 46 villa apartments five star. New in the pretty resort of Vodice is Hotel Olympia, a striking white property whose exterior looks like a cruise ship. The hotel is packed with facilities and even has a swim-up bar – less common in Croatia. Holidays at these properties start from £582 and just £357 per person respectively.
