The Lord Mayor of Sydney, Clover Moore hosted a VIP Cocktail Party in the elegant private room of China Republic restaurant Sydney.

The party was held to celebrate the launch of the Sydney’s  'Asia On Your Doorstep' an initiative to promote the food and culture of Chinatown, Korea, Japantown, Indonesia and Thaitown. At the month long event you can taste your way through Asia without leaving the city as the restaurants in and around Haymarket serve up some of the best cuisine around.

Lee-Lin Chin of SBS National News was M.C. and Andrew Stoner, Deputy Premier was guest speaker.  

Guests included Huaxin Li, Consul-General of China, event sponsor Bernard Lo, Deputy Director, Hong Kong Economic Trade Office and successful restaurateurs Jessie Chau and Sujet Saenkham.  Additional guests included Seven’s Glenn Wheeler, ABC Radio’s Tony Delroy, Sydney School of Protocol’s Julie Lamberg-Burnet, artist Charles Billich, Glen Marie Frost, Julie Singleton, Ian & Di Hamill, mag icon Carolyn Lockhart and CMRI CEO, Virginia Judge, Susie Elelman and Vacation Goddess, Alison Carmichael-Rulten.
