Elegance to be redefined at The Langham, Sydney

The Langham, Sydney will be transformed into a modernised harbour-side residence of unsurpassed elegance and opulence when it opens its doors on Monday, December 1, 2014.

The highly anticipated $30 million renovation of this iconic property will include the complete development and refurbishment of the lobby, dining areas, guestrooms and the hotel’s ballroom.

The Langham, Sydney’s proud heritage of enchanting hospitality will be reflected throughout its luxurious guestrooms which will combine high-end luxe appeal with colonial charm to evoke timeless elegance. Each spacious guestroom, the largest in Sydney at 49sqm, will feature exclusively designed furniture with designated areas for rest, relaxation and dining. Each will also be fitted with signature Blissful Beds and framed by a linen-studded feature headboard.

Grandeur will abound with painted shutters opening onto postcard-worthy views of Western Harbour or Sydney’s skyline, while high ceilings, panelled walls and custom-made furnishings that will create a truly luxurious, residential feel.

Famed as the birthplace of the traditional Afternoon Tea experience, Palm Court will be a welcome addition. From illustrious beginnings at The Langham, London nearly 150 years ago, Palm Court will offer guests an exclusive Afternoon Tea experience – ‘Afternoon Tea with Wedgwood’.

By evening, Palm Court will provide a sophisticated backdrop for a signature cocktail expertly prepared at the leather and stone bar.

Headed up by, Chef de Cuisine, Daniel Rudolph (formerly of est.), Kent Street Kitchen will deliver a unique and one- of-a-kind, contemporary fine-dining experience. With an interactive kitchen, it will showcase innovative cuisine using premium local produce, executed with elegance and technical precision.

The Day Spa will continue to offer Sydney’s premier spa experience and deliver a reinvigorated spa environment, offering a holistic approach designed to restore the mind, body and soul. Spa offerings will include facials, massages and body treatments, as well as advanced skin care treatments from German beauty pioneers, BABOR.

The Langham Sydney’s renowned 20m indoor pool, complete with pale stone columns and a star-dappled sky ceiling will remain, completing this ultimate oasis of serenity.
