Have you entered the World’s First Instagram Film Festival?
Royal Caribbean International are hosting the world’s first Instagram film festival. Everyone is invited to capture their “WOW moments” in 15 seconds of video footage and upload to Instagram via the hashtag #InstaFilmFest to go into the draw to have their film screened at a special VIP event and to win a cruise to the South Pacific. With hundreds of entries pouring in they announced today the all-important judging panel for the competition.
Lauren Bath, Pauly Vella (both of whom are amongst the most prolific Australian photographers on Instagram), Tim Charody (travel documentary maker) and David Farrier (New Zealand pop culture journalist and personality) have been appointed to will choose the winners of this unique competition.
Each person on the panel was chosen because of their unique skills. Bath and Vella are Instagram photography gurus – they know just what it takes and how to create images that gets almost 20,000 likes on Instagram. Farrier’s quirky, irreverent and humorous approach to sharing trends has earned him an avid Instagram following. And Charody has made travel documentaries on pretty much every continent on earth and has been testing his limits capturing wow moments for over six years. Plus, each of the judges has an innate passion for travel. This combination will enable them to spot the very best WOW moments from Royal Caribbean’s local Instagram community.
The Royal Caribbean InstaFilmFest grand finale will take place onboard a Royal Caribbean superliner in Sydney harbour in early 2014. Finalists and VIPs will be invited to the exclusive event, where the finalists’ videos will be shown and the winners will be announced. The winner of this world’s first event will win a cruise and there will also be a prize for the most popular WOW moment (People’s Choice). Plus, everyone who votes for their favourite WOW moments will go into the draw to win a Black Edition GoPro camera.
