Melbourne Food And Wine Festival

More than 200 events across Melbourne and regional Victoria, this annual festival celebrates two of Melburnian’s true love – food & wine. For the first time, it utilises one of Melbourne’s best asset – the Yarra River. The program breaks the event up to fun categories: Signature Events, Gourmet Adventures, Thirst Quenchers and Designer Bites – a unique dinning experience where fashion, art and food collide. Also, if you would like to add a touch of culture with your food, don’t miss Stories of Food and Family in the Immigration Museum. 

Free experience: Bargain hunters rejoice! The festival has more free events and activities than ever. With about 20 free events, you will sure find one that tickles your belly.  Why not head to The Urban Dairy for some serious cheese or grab the little ones and experience Great Balls of Labneh for some bonding time. 

National Gallery of Victoria 200 Years of Australian Fashion

The exhibition will present more than 120 works from over 90 designers and celebrate Australia’s unique voice in the fashion industry. A highlight is a newly commissioned work by Dion Lee that will signpost the future of Australian fashion and demonstrates the designer’s forward-thinking approach and innovative design practice.

Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix

The oldest surviving motor racing competition held in Australia, Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix is back. Costing around $61 million, the Grand Prix is Australia’s most expensive and complicated pop-up. In theme with Melburnians’ palates, the race will have six food trucks, three restaurants, street art installations and shipping containers and music. 

Free Experience: Experience Grand Prix without the traffic and enjoy the iconic Formula 1 car and the Team Uniform display in person at Emporium Melbourne grand floor. Take a snap and capture your own racing moment! 

Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival

Arguably one of the biggest fashion festivals in Australia, this annual event showcases Australian fashion, beauty, business and creative endeavour for everyone to enjoy. The stylish week-long celebration offers world-class runways featuring some of the most established and emerging Australian designers, state-of-the-art production, beauty workshops, industry seminars and much more. You might even spot a celebrity or two. It is about time to meet your Instagram idols in person!
