Wildly Irresistible Tara O’s internal intuition

For Tara O planning a trip or even a weekend away, is not only a great escape from ordinary life, it can also be the energy jump-start she says your relationship may need. Here she shares her thoughts on a recent break to Queenstown…

Recently my partner and I downed tools for two weeks and escaped to New Zealand. A destination I was hanging out to visit and I wasn't disappointed.

Having spent the previous two months bound to my computer emptying the last of my heart and soul into my debut book Wildly Irresistible, I was feeling drained, over whelmed and fatigued. The trip was exactly what the self-love doctor ordered and I recharged and reloaded totally absorbed in New Zealand’s natural beauty.

Tomek and I stayed at Hotel St Moritz in Queenstown and it was divine! It overlooked ice caped mountains and the gorgeous Lake Wakatipu. The suite was larger than our apartment and we took every opportunity to soak in the outside hot tub for two.

What I really loved about Queenstown, was that it has something for everyone.

We visited gorgeous wineries and ate antipasto until our buttons popped, we got our thrills with adrenaline pumping outdoor sports, we took long, beautiful hikes making plans and holding hands. It was seriously good.

Queenstown is really just hop, skip and jump away from Sydney, yet it felt like we were on another planet entirely. I fell in love with Queenstown and fell even more in love with my man.

So don’t hesitate, get a mini vacation or trip planned now. Time away is the perfect chance to rediscover one another again and to remember what you adored about each other in the first place.

My top tip: As soon as you get home, create a date for another romantic escape or adventure to look forward to.
